Ganda La

Ganda La pass near Rumbak is one of my favourites. The trail is runnable with a climb up to nearly 5,000m altitude. When I was there, it had rained previously, so surrounding mountain peaks where covered in snow, as well as the Ganda La itself. However, the trail itself was free of snow.

I hired a taxi from Leh for 1500 rupees, which dropped me at Zingchen village, from where I started the run. This is also a popular hiking route. On the way up, I stopped in Yurutse for a cup of tea.
